When I went to Japan a few years back, one of my life-changing moments was experiencing a tankless TOTO washlet. When I walked into the bathroom, the lid opened automatically, and the seat was heated. It made “going” a truly pleasant experience. And without getting into the grisly details, as you’re doing your business it automatically cleans the inside of the bowl, cleans the air, and…cleans you. It’s an experience most of us in the US cringe at, but as I like to say, once you’ve taken a crack, you’ll never go back.

Judging from the image in the game, it's almost certain that the developers based this tankless toilet on TOTO's iconic G450 washlet.

TOTO is an iconic brand of toilets in Japan, and if you thought your American Standard or Kohler was all a toilet could be, think again. As with the Animal Crossing version, this is a toilet that plus directly into your water line (you could say that it has a "tankless" job). And like the toilets I experienced in Japan, it welcomes you, heats your seat for you, and turns your s****y experience into one of the most pleasant parts of your day.

If you're not quite ready for a $2800 toilet, you can mimic the experience by buying a TOTO Washlet at a fraction of the cost to replace your current toilet seat.
