I've been a fan of Animal Crossing since City Folk on the Wii, continuing to New Leaf on the 3DS and New Horizons on the Switch.

While it's been fun to furnish a virtual house and yard, as I grew older I realized that a lot of the items that the developers picked dating back to Doubutsu no Mori on the Nintendo 64 have been exactly the kinds of things I'd love to have to furnish my own house.

So I went on a quest to see how many in-game items I could find real-world equivalents for, something it turns out I'm pretty good at. Some items are near impossible to find exact replicas of (Ironwood Kitchenette!!) while many are very common. My favorites are ones that I can find that are made in Japan.
