Acoustic Guitar

Household Stuff
Musical Instruments

The Acoustic Guitar has been part of Animal Crossing since the beginning. It was originally available as both “country guitar” (representing a steel string acoustic guitar) and “folk guitar” (representing a nylon string acoustic guitar). In ACNH they combined them into a single item called the “Acoustic Guitar”. The picture you see is of a steel string guitar, as you can see by the dark pick guard (you generally use a pick to play a steel string and your fingers to play nylon).

The style of guitar is called a “dreadnought”, or “D-size” guitar which was invented in 1916 and is traditionally larger than classical guitars. It’s the most common kind of classical guitar.

Craftable - Housewares
The acoustic guitar is craftable, meaning you can't buy it from Timmy or Tommy.

The Squier by Fender Acoustic Guitar is an entry level guitar by Fender that matches the Animal Crossing acoustic guitar. It's a great starter guitar for beginners.

Note that as with the ANCH item this is a steel string guitar (you can tell because it has a black pick guard on its body).

If you're looking for some alternate colors that match Cyrus's customizations, here are some options.
  1. Cherry: Pyle Acoustic Guitar Kit, Cherry Sunburst
  2. Brown: Squier by Fender Acoustic Guitar in Brown Sunburst
  3. Blue: Best Choice Acoustic Guitar, Blue
  4. White: Oscar Schmidt Acoustic Guitar, White
  5. Black: Squier by Fender Acoustic Guitar in Black
  6. Pink: Best Choice Products Acoustic Guitar, Pink
I tried to find ones that had the basic shape of the Animal Crossing picture, as well as the pick guard (i.e., a steel string model). If you prefer a nylon string guitar, Fender also makes this model for beginners.
